Getting to Know Anne, Sarah, and Simon Harrington....
Anne Harrington has been
working with the Long & Foster Vienna office for 20 years.
Anne's real estate career followed a teaching career at
Liverpool High School and Newcastle upon Tyne England prior to emigrating to the
United States in 1980. After settling into the Washington area, Anne taught
part-time for the Fairfax County Adult Education and also ran a small catering
company. Undoubtedly, being a teacher greatly helped with the transition into
the real estate business as it involves helping and guiding people through the
lengthy process of buying or selling a home.
Anne has been a Northern Virginia resident since 1980 and
resides in Mantua, a neighborhood in Fairfax County. She and her husband,
Robert, a Professor of Engineering at George Washington University, have four
grown children.
Anne has always found her work in real estate a source of
great pleasure and she considers it an honor and privilege to be entrusted with
helping her clients achieve their home ownership goals. Anne's interests include
music, art, golf, gardening, entertaining, cooking, antiques, and travel.
Anne considers it essential to keep current with the latest
technology and marketing trends and does this by regularly attending classes and
seminars. Above all, Anne's commitment to providing a high level of
personal service and her attention to detail ensure that each real estate
transaction proceeds smoothly to settlement. That's why Anne has the
distinction to be among the top 1% of Realtors in the nation!
Sarah
Harrington was raised in Great
Britain and emigrated to Northern Virginia with her parents in 1980. She
was educated in England and graduated from W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax,
VA. She then attended the University of Virginia, studied at La Sorbonne
in Paris, and achieved an MBA in International Business from George Washington
University.
After a career in international trade and finance with
Shearson Lehman Hutton in Paris and the U.S. Department of Commerce in
Washington, Sarah chose to join her mother in real estate in 2003 and add her education
and considerable business experience to form a highly successful team.
Sarah enjoys attending real estate classes and seminars to
keep her technology and marketing skills on the cutting edge. She and Anne
share the same high level of commitment to their clients with the goal of
providing them with service that is second to none and ensuring that each and
every real estate transaction proceeds smoothly to close.
Sarah is married to a Telecommunication Engineer and has
three children. They live in Mantua Hills in Fairfax County. She
enjoys tennis, cooking, and travel and speaks fluent French.
Simon
Harrington
spent 10 years as a tennis teaching professional and a
television news reporter and has now joined the Harrington team. Simon received
his degree in Journalism from the George Washington University and worked at the
Canby, Oregon, television station before moving back to northern Virginia. On
his return to Virginia, he became a tennis professional and is certified by the
USPTR and the USPTA. Simon ran the tennis program at the Tuckahoe Recreation
Club in McLean, VA, before deciding to join his mother's realty team.
Simon received his real estate license in September of 2006, and is now a
full-time Realtor.
